Research proves that a 1.5 seconds early warning can prevent 90% of rear end collisions, and a 2.0 seconds warning can prevent almost all crashes.
So, if we equipped cars in proper driver-assistance systems, we would be able to significantly decrease the number of collisions and accidents. There are plans assuming that until May 2022 every vehicle in the EU will have been equipped with a number of active safety systems. Since May 2024 it will be obligatory for every new car.
However, there are many older cars on our roads, which do not have advanced driver-assistance systems. We can retrofit them with additional solutions that warn the driver about potential problems or dangers.
We offer Mobileye’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems to detect a danger of collision and send the driver a warning about it.
Mobileye is the world leader of ADAS solutions. The company has a 20-year expertise (since 2017 it has been the part of Intel) and cooperates with more than 25 OEMs. The Mobileye system is retrofitted in more than 35 million cars all over the world (both at the stage of production and as additional equipment).
The Mobileye system uses a single camera fixed on a windscreen to scan the road and a small dashboard display with warnings for the driver.
The warnings are sent as sounds and notifications on the display. The system may be retrofitted in every car and thus, significantly increase safety of the driver and passengers.
Mickey Ayalon, CEE Sales Director of Mobileye, the guest of Starter24 at Insurance Forum 2019, presents advantages of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and their impact on significant decrease of the number of accidents and car fleet costs.
